NWSOAR Net Preamble "QST, QST, QST. This is --- (call), --- (name), in --- (location), net control for the NWSOAR net. The Northwest Society of Amateur Radio is a club formed to provide social interaction and foster comradery and diversity among hams with a variety of interests and within amateur radio in general. We have agreed as a club not to own any repeaters or other major assets but do offer our services to assist with public events or in emergency situations whenever our participation is requested." This net meets every Wednesday at 9:00 PM on the 146.82 repeater. The purpose of the net is to provide a place to meet regularly to exchange information and keep in touch. This is a directed net, with 3 parts. In part 1 we ask for member check ins and in part 2 we ask for visitors to check in with us. During part 3 we ask each station to briefly share with the net ham radio activities or other happenings of interest to you. when checking in please give your callsign, name, and location along with any club office you hold in case someone wants to contact you. Please keep transmissions to 90 seconds or less to stay within the repeater's time out setting. The net control will periodically ask for emergency or priority traffic but stations with such traffic may list it at any time using the proword "break". Your cooperation with these procedures is very much appreciated. Is there any emergency or priority traffic at this time?" "Check-ins are by the first letter of your call sign suffix. I will now stand by for NWSOAR members starting with callsign suffixes alpha-juliet, kilo-romeo, sierra-zulu? entire alphabet?" "Visitor check-ins are also taken by the first letter of your callsign suffix. Are there any visiting stations with callsign suffixes alpha-juliet, kilo-romeo, sierra-zulu? anywhere in the alphabet?" "Are there any late, missed, or visiting stations?" "Now, let's go down the list beginning with ---" (first station checking in, mobiles always go first). (Proceed with checkin list, calling for additional check-ins and emergency or priority traffic every 10 to 15 minutes until about 9:55 or until two complete rounds of comment have been completed.) "Is there any further business for the net?" Once any final business or comments have been handled: "Hearing nothing further, I would like to thank all who checked in this evening and especially thank the officers and members of the Mike and Key Amateur Radio Club for providing us with a place to meet. If you would like to learn more about the Northwest Society of amateur Radio or if you wish to join us, please visit our website at www.nwsoar.org. This is ---, net control, now closing the net and returning the repeater to normal operation. Good night everyone and 73 to all."
